Allman Brothers Band - 2nd Set

Allman Brothers Band
2nd Set

First Appeared in The Music Box, March/April 1996, Volume 3, #2

Written by John Metzger

Well, the Allman Brothers Band has done it again. 2nd Set is an 8-song, 74-minute jam session with the boys from down south. You Don't Love Me explodes with fury, and those who have seen the group in the past year fully know where Back Where It All Begins can go. An acoustic version of In Memory of Elizabeth Reed follows, and it gives a new flavor to this classic tune.  Although, the momentum of the disc is broken by the placement of Elizabeth Reed, it is, all in all, an excellent second set! starstarstar

2nd Set is available from Barnes & Noble.
