On July 4-5, the first annual 80/35 Festival will be held in Western Gateway Park in Des Moines, Iowa.
The event is being organized by the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition.
Thus far, The Flaming Lips, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Roots, Drive-By
Truckers, and Girl Talk are slated to perform. More than 40 acts are
expected to appear at the event, which was named for the two interstate highways

The
2008 Latitude
Festival will be held at the U.K.'s Henham Park in Southwold, Suffolk on July
17-20. The third edition of the festival will include performances by
Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Elbow, and Death Cab for Cutie. As has been the case in previous incarnations of the event, this year's Latitude
Festival will showcase comedians, visual artists, poets and writers, filmmakers,
actors, and dancers.
