Detroit power popsters The Waxwings come to the table in
2002 with a harder edge than the band’s superior 2000 debut Low to the Ground.
The Zombies-style harmonies and hooks remain on Shadows of the Waxwings
with a greater emphasis on the electric guitar axwork of Dominic Romano. From
the initial electric distortion on the opening track Wired That Way to
the toe-tapping likeability of Brilliant Grey, The Waxwings are now
two-for-two in the pop music world.
