Langerado Music Festival: Widespread Panic
A Photo Journal by George Weiss
First Appeared in The Music Box, March 2007, Volume 14, #3
The 5th Annual Langerado Music Festival was held on March 9-11, 2007 at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida. This year's stellar line-up included performances by Widespread Panic, Trey Anastasio, O.A.R., Paolo Nutini, Toots and the Maytals, Los Lobos, New Pornographers, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and many others. Widespread Panic closed the festival with a stellar show that featured renditions of Hope in a Hopeless World, Space Wrangler, Radio Child, Diner, and Walkin' (for Your Love. The band also embarked upon an extended sojourn that began with Love Tractor, wound through a percussion interlude, and formed a medley from Driving Song and Surprise Valley. Fortunately, longtime Music Box supporter George Weiss was on hand to provide visual documentation of the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
